I have been arranging flowers since I was a wee child.
It started with the flowers on the lawn that I would pick for my mom.
They might have been actual weeds but I would add some grass and leaves and arrange everything so that it looked nice. Then I would put them in an old jar and present them to my appreciative mom. I have come a long way from weeds in jars to now arranging the flowers for weddings, funerals, and other events, I just love going to the different venues. I like it even better if I am comfortable. Hot summer weddings are the worst without proper air conditioning. It is really hard to work well if I am roasting to death. Then there are the flowers to consider. Without proper air conditioning the flowers will wilt and look terrible in no time at all. I just hate it when a patron leaves me bad reviews because the flowers were limp and lifeless. As if it is my fault that the patron refused to pay extra for air conditioning so all of their flowers die before the event is over! I don’t like wilted flowers either. It has gotten to the point where I am going to start insisting that there “must be air conditioning” in all of my contracts. There is no reason that my art should suffer just because my clients don’t want to spring a little bit extra for proper air conditioning in their venue. There is also no reason why I should suffer without air conditioning either.
