Sometimes I wish that my husband had a different job.
He has a great job when it comes to the paycheck, but it takes him away from home very often.
He travels all over the country to host meetings for the company that he works for. It is rare that I get to travel with him because we have two little children, and it is hard to travel long distances with them. He told me that he would get a new job in a heartbeat if that is what I really wanted. I have not made up my mind for sure yet, but I am leaning that way. Because he is gone so much, I have learned to kind of be a handyman. I enjoy fixing things, but it definitely does not come naturally to me. Our furnace broke about a month ago, and I was determined to fix it. At first, I was pretty upset about it. My husband had just left that morning, and the furnace broke just a few hours later. It was really inconvenient time for it to go. I searched online for some answers. The furnace was not firing up like it was supposed to, so I searched for common issues. Thankfully, the first part that I replaced was the part that needed to be replaced. I literally watched a tutorial online in order to figure out how to take the furnace apart to change the damaged part. It was a really great experience in the long run, but I hope that I do not have to fix the furnace again. It was a lot of work.
